Studio 7 Organic Salon was established in 2005 and continues to strive to be a trust worthy, enthusiastic and environmentally conscious Salon. I practice loyalty and integrity, in pursuit of Health and Beauty. I share with All My Guests new ways to incorporate healthier choices into their everyday hair care needs.
What you put on your Hair and Skin is as important as what you put in your Mouth!!
I have been a Professional Hair Designer since 1990. In 2004. I soon realized that the chemicals surrounding me, the same chemicals being used by my salon mates, were making me sick.. I only started to find this out after I became toxic myself, from over exposure of the chemicals in the salon. I had an adverse effect on the skin on my face. It started out as small dry,red, raised, itchy patches on cheeks, neck, and soon my eyes. Until one night I woke up with an over whelming Hot sensation on my face and became aware that my face had swollen to the size of a pumpkin and looked as though had serverly burned my face.. I had to ask myself, “If the chemicals that built this mulit-million dollar industry are making me sick, what are they doing to the clients upon whose bodies we we’re placing them?” After all, the skin is the body’s largest organ .
There is a subtle yet powerful cause and effect relationship between our body and what we put into or what we place on it, whether beneficial or harmful. Some effects are obvious and manifest immediately, while others become evident over time. I knew then that I needed to take charge of my life and make some changes.. so, I then began to live a healthy lifestyle, detoxifying my body and teaching myself and others about the damaging effects all the chemicals have on our bodies from the products we use everyday, to the ones we use in the traditional Salon.. I have spent years researching and selecting products that are pure, organic and effective at providing healthful results, as well as helping women achieve the latest style trends.
That experience inspired my mission to create a different way to achieve beauty. A way that is does not abide by the industry’s unspoken mantra of “beauty at any cost.”
My passion is to approach each client with as holistic view that offers women pure products and mindful services so they can achieve their beauty and style desires, while supporting —not sacrificing — their health in the process. I always keep up to date on the newest personalized cutting, styles and coloring techniques to suit each individual and their needs.
All the products we use on our clients and sell are void of the top 10 most harmful ingredients, and are screened for other ingredients known to be harmful. "Simply Organic" and "Surface" Hair Care Lines, all of which contain pure, nutritious ingredients that safely treat a broad range of skin types and conditions.
I love color, chemistry and style and I value having relationships with my guests that are more than skin deep. I like knowing that I can combine my passions and values to help women learn new ways to make positive changes in their lives.
